Why did you write the book?

Jun 04, 2024 by Ian Gildenhuys

Good day to all my friends, family and fellow readers

Since I published my book:”50 FAQ about Residential Solar System”, many has been asking me:

Why I Wrote the Book?

During the 2023 Easter holidays, a very good friend of mine, who installs residential solar systems asked me why I do not write a book about home residential solar systems.

He mentioned to me that he felt there was a need for a comprehensive yet accessible guide that would demystify the complexities of residential solar systems. A reference guide that gave clear, concise, and accurate answers to the most common questions homeowners might have about the topic. A book that equipped readers with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about purchasing and installing a solar system at their homes.

Well after that I went ahead, researched and then wrote and had the book published. If I look at this review on the book, I received below, I will say I achieved what my friend had in mind the book had to cater for.

“It is an excellent book to read if you are a newcomer to solar and a small price to pay for good information before you ask an installer company for a quotation of your own solar system.  This would help you to prepare for the right questions to ask, gives you a general background about the different options available and explain some fundaments of solar installations. The section on mistakes made when buying solar panels is especially important”. - Hennie on Takealot.

Why Homeowners Should Buy This Book

1. Clarity in Complexity: The world of solar energy can be dense and technical. *"50 FAQ about Residential Solar Systems"* breaks down complicated concepts into easy-to-understand language, making it accessible to everyone, regardless of their technical background.

2. Cost-Effective Guidance: Investing in a solar system is a significant financial decision. This book can help homeowners understand the costs and benefits, helping them avoid potential pitfalls and make economically sound choices.

3. Environmental Impact: Each solar panel installed contributes to reducing our dependence on fossil fuels and cutting down greenhouse gas emissions. By understanding the ins and outs of solar systems, homeowners can feel confident they're making a positive environmental impact.

4. Empowerment through Knowledge: Knowledge is power. This book aims to empower homeowners to take control of their energy usage and become active participants in the transition toward renewable energy.

Conclusion

In writing "50 FAQ about Residential Solar Systems," my goal was to create a resource that would serve as a beacon for homeowners navigating the maze of solar energy. This book is more than just a guide; it’s a step towards a sustainable future, one home at a time.

So, whether you’re just starting to explore the idea of solar energy or you're ready to take the leap, I invite you to embark on this journey with me. Let’s harness the power of the sun and make a difference together.
